In the heart of the Thousand Islands of upstate New York, Sportsman’s Hideaway Campground is located on the beautiful Chaumont River. Chaumont Bay, the largest fresh water bay in the United States, provides our campers with extraordinary fishing and sailing on Lake Ontario. In the heart of the Lake Ontario's "Golden Crescent" we are only minutes away from many small lakes and rivers. We are also a short distance from both Alexandria Bay and the Thousand Islands port of entry into Canada. The campground is open from May through October with 135 sites all on level ground for your convenience. Many sites have  water and electric, and we offer a fully modern dumping station for your sewer service. Additional tenting sites with no water, electric or sewer are always available. You might want to schedule your stay to coincide with one of our campground events such as Christmas in July, or one of our regular campground wide dinners.   We offer a non-denominational service on the third Sunday of every month during camping season and we all pitch in for a group breakfast.
